European Championships 2026 – Wales

For the first time the the 2026 European Championships will be staged in Wales at Llandrindod Wells Bowling Club an event that promises to be an exciting showcase of top-class bowls with some of the best players competing.

The eight-day event, will feature men’s and women’s singles, pairs, triples and fours competitions, plus para men’s pairs and VI mixed pairs.

As well as being a World Bowls Series ranking event, the championships will be the Europe regional qualifying event for the 2027 World Championships being staged at Royal Leamington Spa, which will mean countries will be fighting for valuable ranking points which should add to the spectacle.

Who is Bowls Europe ?

Bowls Europe is a member of World Bowls, the recognised Federation for the Sport of Bowls.

Bowls Europe mission is to foster, safeguard, promote, develop, and encourage the sport of bowls throughout Europe by working with World Bowls, our member countries, and other organisations.

The 2024 championship was held at the National Centre of Bowling in Ayr, Scotland which saw 18 Countries represented from our Member Countries, with 181 athletes taking part and 11 Disciplines,

The 2025 tournament will consist of Under 25s Singles Championships and Mixed Pairs Championship and will take place at Sun Bowls Club, Jersey between September 8th and 14th, 2025.

Sporting Highlights will be working alongside the Bowls Europe Organisation committee to provide suitable and various types accommodation in Llandrindod Wells and the surrounding local area to fit every team’s needs and requirements during the European Championships 2026.
